Price of laptop computer drops to $1,000

The Rocky Mountain News reports average laptop prices are coming down:

Good news if you're in the market to buy a laptop computer: The price is coming down. The Wall Street Journal reports the average price of a laptop is now about $1,000, down from $1,250 last year and $1,640 in 2001. Some are selling for even less.
