5 killed, 33 wounded as Chicago shooting total for 2015 rises above 1,000

The Chicago Tribune reports:
Five people were killed, including a 17-year-old boy, and at least 33 were wounded by gunfire over the weekend as the number of people shot in the city this year rose more than 1,000.

Through Monday morning, about 1,050 people had been shot in the city since the year began, according to Chicago Tribune records. Through June 8 last year, there were 924 shootings. In 2013, the total was 820 through June 8, and in 2012, the number was 981.
Chicago , today, is more violent then when Al Capone was around. Just a reminder.
