The Problems of People Close to Barack Obama

There are problems for people close to Barack Obama.The AP reports:

The former head of the Illinois Finance Authority was indicted Thursday on federal charges of producing a bogus document to assist political contributor Antoin Rezko in a $10-million fraud scheme.

Ali D. Ata, 55, of Lemont announced his resignation in February as chairman of the finance authority, which issues millions of dollars in bonds and furnishes financing to Illinois businesses and institutions.

Rezko, before his indictment on charges of squeezing payoffs out of businesses wanting to do state business, was a key contributor and adviser to Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Rezko is the guy who is very close to Obama in more than one way.The New York Times has an interesting piece on Obama.Obama's close friend, who he strongly supported,Alexi Giannoulias makes the Times story.Alexi Giannoulias may be too hot to handle for many Democrats in Illinois but not Obama.I guess Obama isn't bothered by the Chicago Mob connections.
