VIENNA, Austria -- A man mistook a government building in southern Austria for a bank and tried to rob it, police said. It's easy to understand this, the guy probably figured government building was the bank for the welfare state.
The 34-year-old man thought a municipal building in the southern village of Poggersdorf was a bank because it had an automated teller machine in the lobby, said Hermann Klammer, head of the criminal division at Carinthia province's police department.
