Bank robber loses loot to exploding dye pack, robs another bank

The AP reports:
A bank robber whose loot was ruined in a dye pack explosion didn't waste any time making up for the loss, robbing a second bank within about 15 minutes, police said.

The dye pack, which marks stolen currency when it explodes, was hidden by a First Heritage Bank teller in the undisclosed amount of money taken during the lunch hour Wednesday by a man who claimed to have a gun, police Sgt. Boyd Bryant said.

The robber abandoned his ill-gotten gains when the dye pack exploded after he left the bank, but about 15 minutes later a man matching the same description got away with an undisclosed sum from the Snohomish County Public Utility District Credit Union across town, Bryant said.
The man with a plan.
