Chicago Alderman Promotes Restraining Trade

The Chicago Tribune has a letter from 18th Ward Alderman Thomas Murphy criticizing the Trib's pro-Wal-Mart stance:
Your newspaper has consistently been a proponent of free trade and urged our country to support free-trade agreements. Economics 101 should have taught you that everything has a price.

Unfortunately these misguided policies have led to a massive trade deficit that has left the American worker paying the price and the economic future of our country in doubt.
Alderman Thomas Murphy "frontman" for the unions would rather have people unemployed today than working at Wal-Mart.As you can probably guess working for Alderman Murphy's city of Chicago is a lot less honest than Wal-Mart.Just ask Patrick Fitzgerald. We've got a feeling that before too long, more Chicago Aldermen will be indicted.
