Maryland Passes a Bill of Attainder Against Wal-Mart

The New York Times reports on a bill of attainder:
The Maryland House of Delegates on Thursday overrode Gov. Robert Ehrlich's veto only hours after a similar vote in the state Senate, approving a bill that would force Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to spend more on employee health care in the state.
Since, the law only applies to Wal-Mart and no one else it appears basic British Common Law principles are being thrown out the window.Hopefully, this will not be a trend. We know of no more blatant violation of the U.S. Constitution than this passing today.Constitutional government is giving way to the total state.
