The Decline of Health Insurance at Work

The Boston Globe reports about the decline of health insurance offered at work. With 40% of firms not offering health insurance, things are changing:
The reason for the decline isn't hard to figure: Health insurance keeps getting more expensive. Premiums are up 9.2 percent this year and 73 percent over the past five years, according to Kaiser. The annual cost for a family policy, usually split between employer and employee, is now $10,880.
Nothing like the price system to eventually destroy a bad idea.
