Service in the private sector vs.public sector

The Chicago Sun-Times has a good lesson on the differences between the public sector and the private sector.A restaurant owner has to wait three weeks on an appointment with the city of Chicago

"This is just to make a reservation to sit down with someone. We haven't even started the review process," Dan Rosenthal, owner of Trattoria No. 10 and Sopraffina Marketcaffes, told the Sun-Times in an e-mail.

"Here it is three weeks later and our architect still hasn't heard back. ... Imagine if it took a month to get someone from Trattoria No. 10 just to call you back to tell you when you could make a reservation to come eat."

It appears this is retaliation for questioning a tax by Mayor Daley.Isn't monopoly great?
