CNN’s Jake Tapper reminds viewers that Democrats don’t enforce immigration law. Democrats “because they’ve been in the minority, they’ve been able to avoid making tough decisions, tough choices. And I’m just reminded of one of the reasons why the Biden administration, immigration enforcement policy was not particularly popular by the end, was because there was kind of a refusal to make a decision. Were they going to do what Obama did and actually enforce immigration law and then risk being unpopular among a group of Democratic voters and progressive activists, or were they going to acquiesce? And, ultimately, he didn’t really do anything, and it just became a, a muddle. So right now, Democrats are really happy because they won, and they haven’t actually said, but here are the seven things we’re going to do on immigration.” A preview of what’s to come?
