The USA actually paid Santa Anna for the land transferred to the USA (it wasn't cheap). It wasn't just "stolen". Santa Anna took the money. In addition, the USA assumed all debts that the Mexican government owed to American citizens. This was all… pic.twitter.com/66b5s87bvP
