We expect CEOs to have multiple diplomas from the right kind of schools. But these preconceived notions aren’t an indicator of success. In fact, research conducted by the CEO Genome Project looked at a dataset of more than 17,000 CEOs and found that 8 percent didn’t graduate from college. People like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg come to mind. Like them, I am part of that 8 percent.
