The business of corporate relocation, also known as site selection, is poised for a busy 2025, industry analysts say. Corporate moves have been rippling across the US, with 137 moves in 2023 by Fortune 500 firms, according to research from brokerage and services firm CBRE. Since 2019, New York and California both lost financial firms to relocation to Miami and elsewhere that managed $2 trillion in total assets. In 2022 alone, Chicago lost the headquarters of the Boeing Company, Caterpillar Inc., Tyson Foods and Citadel.
