On the same day Greta Thunberg predicted would be the end of the world, she’s not the only one still seeing "climate crises" within a sustainable and beautiful planet Earth.
John Kerry, the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, spoke Wednesday at a climate and security panel hosted by The German Marshall Fund of the United States. According to Kerry, the climate still directly threatens all aspects of life around the world.
“We have to kick ourselves into much higher gear, recognizing that the security connection of [the climate crisis] could not be more significant,” claimed Kerry. “I mean, it’s incomprehensible to me that people don’t make this connection….That’s why we have embarked upon this effort to make sure people understand: You don’t have security–not any kind whatsoever–unless you deal with the climate crisis.”
