Should Bernie Sanders Step Down From U.S. Senate?

Should Bernie step down from the U.S. Senate? He's an old white guy with a big public pension coming. Vermont has never had a female African-American Senator. When you claim to be an ally of the oppressed shouldn't you make way for the coalition of the ascendant?
