House Democrats are aiming to pass the $1.85 trillion social spending and climate bill as early as next week, but some of its last-minute provisions face an uncertain future in the Senate, where there is disagreement over ideas related to a deduction for state and local taxes, paid family leave, and immigration.

Democrats hold only a slim majority in both chambers of Congress. Pelosi can lose no more than three votes in the House, while Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) must ensure that all 50 Democrats support the bill in the evenly split Senate.
