Number of Texans in hospital for COVID down to 2,801, or a fifth of the summer peak total

The Austin American Statesman reports:
Health officials on Monday recorded 2,801 people in the hospital for COVID-19 statewide, or about a fifth of the summer peak total of 13,932 on Aug. 26. The pandemic high was 14,218 Texans hospitalized in January.
New York, California , and Illinois could learn something from Texas.
