Mike Madigan, longtime IL House speaker and representative, announces resignation after 50 years in post

It's official: former Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan, who has served as a mere state rep since being replaced by @RepChrisWelch on Jan 13, is resigning from the House at the end of the month.
