Man who sent white-powder letters to Trump family to serve probation

The Boston Globe reports:
A man who pleaded guilty to sending letters containing white powder to President Donald Trump’s family will serve five years of probation, according to federal officials.

Daniel Frisiello, 25, of Beverly, will spend one year of his sentence in in-home detention, will have his location monitored, and must pay restitution. While on probation, he can’t go on the internet, mail letters, or have access to or own a computer, officials said. He also can’t contact the victims.

While prosecutors had sought prison time for Frisiello, the judge decided against it since the 25-year old is developmentally disabled and may not respond well to incarceration
