The Chicago Housing Authority agrees to complete more mixed-income housing projects and pursue policies to increase the availability of low-income housing in wealthier neighborhoods.

Crain's Chicago Business reports:
The Chicago Housing Authority has settled a landmark housing discrimination case dating back to 1966, a move that will liberate the agency from seeking a federal judge’s permission for many key decisions.

Under the settlement, the CHA has agreed to complete a list of mixed-income housing projects under its Plan for Transformation and pursue policies that will increase the availability of low-income housing in higher-income neighborhoods.
Gentry urban liberals will get to experience more diversity.
