FWIW, to my CA friends: The Republican, John Cox, surely hasn't a chance in the general against Gavin Newsom. Doesn't it make sense for Republicans to vote in the first round for the moderate Democrat, Antonio Villaraigosa, who's good on education reform and against single payer?

It's pretty much official: Antonio Villaraigosa has little chance of beating Gavin Newsom in the California Governor's race now that big government pundit Bill Kristol has endorsed him. When Bill Kristol endorses you it often doesn't help.
