New Los Angeles Rams Stadium Project Now Expected To Cost $5 Billion To Build

Forbes reports:
With the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers expected to move into their new Inglewood digs in time for the 2020 NFL season, excitement is real in Southern California. Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park is expected to be among the grandest of sports structures we've ever seen erected. It sits on 60 acres of land and already includes a casino. Needless to say, the venue is about much more than sports.

We're also now getting a firm understanding of just how much this complex is going to cost. According to ESPN's Seth Wickersham, NFL owners are voting on Tuesday to increase the debt limit for the new stadium with league documents now showing it projected to cost a whopping $4.9 billion to build.

The one piece of good news here is that the Hollywood Park venue is being privately funded. Taxpayers are not being asked to throw down on what is now going to be the most expensive project in the history of North American sports.
Big dreams....
