Ferro accused of sexual misconduct: report

Crain's Chicago Business reports:
Tronc's biggest owner, Michael Ferro, abruptly relinquished his title as chairman of the media company today, saying he felt it was time to retire after the company agreed last month to sell the Los Angeles Times.

But later in the day, Fortune Magazine reported that Ferro, 51, is at the center of allegations that he made unwanted sexual advances toward two women.

One of the women, Kathryn Minshew, was working with Ferro in 2013 to raise money for her New York startup company called The Muse when he forcibly tried to kiss her, she alleges in an account to the magazine.

The other woman, Hagan Kappler, alleges that Ferro put his arms around her at a Las Vegas convention in 2016, the magazine reported. She was then an executive at the manufacturer Ingersoll Rand, and told Ferro she didn't like him being in her space, but he continued and groped her breast, she told Fortune.
