Pelosi: Conyers should resign

The Hill reports:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said on Thursday that Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) should resign amid multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.

"The allegations against Congressman Conyers, as we have learned more since Sunday, are serious, disappointing and very credible," Pelosi said.

"It's very sad," she added. "The brave women who have come forward are owed justice. I pray for Congressman Conyers and his family, and wish them well. However, Congressman Conyers should resign."

House Democrats have been upping the pressure on Conyers to resign from Congress in recent days.
