The Chicago Tribune reports:
A Glenview woman is accused of running a brothel out of a suburban apartment building following an investigation by the Cook County Sheriff's Police and Department of Homeland Security.Diversity is our strength!
Maria Lopez, 49, of Glenview, was charged with promoting prostitution, a felony, on June 27, Cook County Sheriff's Police said in a press release.
According to police, Lopez was arrested at an apartment on the 10000 block of Holly Lane in unincorporated Maine Township — an apartment authorities say was being used as a brothel.
The apartment is located within a complex that is about two blocks west of the Illinois State Police District 3 headquarters.
