Padres promotion: $99 for five home wins in June ... no matter how many games it takes

The San Diego Union Tribune reports:

The Padres, the owners of Major League Baseball’s worst record, has a new promotion to get fans into Petco Park next month: Give them $99 for the first five games in June and they’ll guarantee you watch five victories.

That means patrons will have another game added to their pass for every loss that occurs before the Padres win five games in June in their downtown venue.

The Padres Five-Win Pass – delivered to smartphones via MLB.com’s BallPark app – includes a $20 credit to use on seat upgrades and includes an additional $5 upgrade credit after each Padres’ win to be used toward your next seat upgrade.

The pass – which is on sale until 10 a.m. June 9 – guarantees seats in left field in sections 226, 228 and 230.
