New York couples have the priciest weddings . Costs in Manhattan fell in 2016 but grew in the suburbs .

Crain's New York reports:

Manhattan's average $78,464 wedding cost, the nation's highest, actually represented a 4.7% decline from 2015. Bills rose in Long Island (19.1%), nearby Jersey (13%) and the outer boroughs (26.4%) in 2016.
