As travel ban looms, resettlement agencies unsure of fate of refugees

The San Jose Mercury News reports:
Less than a day before President Trump’s newest travel ban is set to take effect, refugee resettlement agencies throughout the Bay Area and beyond are still unsure if refugees looking to flee turmoil in their own countries will actually be allowed to start new lives in the United States.

Refugees and other foreigners with no legitimate ties to the U.S. will likely be turned away Thursday as the travel ban goes into effect, reviving a months-long debate over whether refugees should be allowed into the country and setting the stage for a legal battle that will play out in the Supreme Court in the fall.
