Uber’s first diversity report shows male, white, Asian dominance

The San Francisco Chronicle reports:
Uber said it will take steps to ramp up inclusion, such as recruiting at historically black colleges and Hispanic-serving institutions. It will donate $3 million over the next three years “to support organizations working to bring more women and underrepresented groups into tech,” Hornsey wrote. “Employees will be crucial in deciding which organizations we partner with.”

Overall, Uber’s workforce is 36.1 percent female and 63.9 percent male. Women account for only 15.4 percent of tech workers. That’s lower than at Apple (23 percent), Facebook (17 percent), LinkedIn (20 percent) but slightly better than Twitter (13 percent).
No word yet on when American colleges will release a report on the ideological diversity of its' faculty in the name of fighting for equality and inclusion.
