McDonald's is launching mobile ordering, mobile pay and curbside pickup across its 14,000-plus U.S. restaurants in the fourth quarter, executives said this morning.$15 minimum wages at McDonald's? Probably not.
The burger chain, which said it lost some 500 million sales transactions since 2012—most to "near-in competitors"—said its biggest priority was improving foot traffic to its restaurants.
It's hoping its new digital efforts, along with overhauling its restaurants, improving the quality of its food and the introduction of new burger and chicken options will help get more customers in its restaurants.
"Our most important priority is guest counts," Chief Strategy Officer Lucy Brady said at an investor meeting this morning in the West Loop.
