A Mexican fugitive long sought by federal authorities for sex trafficking has been extradited and charged.Mexican rape leaders in the news.
Raul Granados-Rendon and others illegally brought young women to the United States for years, forcing them into prostitution in New York City and elsewhere, according to the Brooklyn U.S. Attorney’s office.
Granados-Rendon, on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Most Wanted List since 2010, was arrested in Mexico in September.
He was extradited Friday and arraigned the following day in Brooklyn federal court on a 2011 indictment, officials said Monday.
