Comrade Keith Ellison brings DNC bid to Chicago . Radical Ellison Seeks The Support of Boss Mike Madigan

The Chicago Tribune reports:
Minnesota U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison has reached out to Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan about his bid to become chairman of the Democratic National Committee and plans to do so soon with Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

But speaking to reporters prior to a Sunday rally of progressive Democrats on his behalf in Lincoln Park, Ellison also said he’s gotten no commitment from Madigan, the state’s Democratic chairman, though he said the House speaker is someone “who I admire tremendously.”

As for Emanuel, who during his time as head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee butted heads with then-DNC Chair Howard Dean, Ellison said, “I have a good relationship with Mayor Emanuel and I expect he’s going to be playing an important role in all of this. I haven’t talked to him just yet but I’m reaching out to him soon.”

Comrade Ellison has no problem with status quo when it can help him.
