The Calgary Herald reports:
The feud between Calgary’s mayor and a city MP continues to rage, even after Naheed Nenshi apologized for a “math is challenging” remark that Michelle Rempel called sexist and a local political science professor dubbed “arrogance at its worst.”Calgary's first Muslim Mayor uses the technology of Twitter to apologize down below.
A spat over non-residential property taxes that started on social media Sunday between Nenshi and Rempel heightened Tuesday when the mayor was asked about the situation by two reporters, and it continued on Twitter late into the evening Tuesday.
“Apparently, math is challenging but, hopefully, she’ll figure that out,” Nenshi told reporters Tuesday morning.
I'm truly sorry that came off as sexist. I would and have said the same thing to men in political discourse. https://t.co/e71BuxELy3
