San Francisco named as best U.S. city for singles

The San Francisco Chronicle reports:

If you're searching for a partner, San Francisco might just be your proverbial land of milk and honey, per a new-for-2016 data-based study.

The findings, collected by WalletHub, were compiled by looking at the 150 most populated cities and assigning them points based on 29 verticals, including "restaurant meal costs," "fitness club costs," "nightlife options per capita," "gender balance," and more.

As they found, if you're in San Francisco, you're in very good dating shape (that is, as long as you've got some disposable income left after your insane rent payments). San Francisco ranked as one of the cities with the highest meal costs and highest beauty salon costs, but per their calculations, it also has the most nightlife options per capita. Overall, based on all verticals, the city netted a cumulative total of 70.21 points, putting it in first place ahead of Orlando, Seattle, San Diego, and Boston.
