'Coffee should not come with political brainwashing!' Anger at Starbucks over green 'unity' cups that coincide with the election as customers demand traditional holiday designs

The Daily Mail reports:
An attempt by Starbucks to unify the country ahead of Election Day with a green coffee cup has backfired after angry customers threatened to boycott the chain.

The company said the cups - which were unveiled on Tuesday and feature a drawing of more than 100 people drawn with one line - were intended to remind Americans of their 'shared values' at a 'divisive time in our country'.

But the move appears to have angered rather than united customers. Some thought it had replaced the company's traditional red Christmas drinking vessels, while others accused the brand of pushing a political agenda.
