In victory, Emanuel apologizes to Rauner for comment about wife

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Tuesday basked in the glow of a stunning victory over Gov. Bruce Rauner on police and fire pensions and even went so far as to apologize for dragging Rauner’s wife into the fray.

Emanuel allowed his anger to get the best of him Friday after Rauner, the mayor’s old friend, former business associate and travel companion, vetoed a bill that would have given the city 15 more years to ramp up to a 90 percent funding level for police and fire pensions.
Anger in Blue America.
