Dem fundraising pitch: 'All hope is lost' in the House

The official fundraising group dedicated to supporting Democrats in the House is "desperate" for donations.

In an email Saturday titled "All hope is lost," the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said it is way behind on its monthly fundraising goal, while first lady Michelle Obama asked for donations twice in two days.

"I asked for your support yesterday. And now I'm asking for your help again today. That's how incredibly important today is," Obama is quoted as saying in the email.

The DCCC encourages a suggested donation of $5.
