Remember during Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign how everyone thought he was promising free health care? And what did we end up with? Obamacare. By now, everyone knows this is far, far from “free”. In fact, in two years, then we’ll see how expensive it really is. Ok, so, I see on these handmade Bernie signs this other slogan that says: “Free College For All!” Oh, come on now, you guys! Do you really believe that?! What, after Obamacare, you’re really going to fall for this scam twice in a row?! And here you clowns claim to be so much smarter than Republicans who are falling for the “Iran has nuclear weapons” malarkey after the same was said over Iraq and proven false, some tens of thousands of dead later! Yet, here’s the Democrats falling for the same old Democrat infomercial promising, “But wait! There’s more!”No word yet on when Comrade Sanders will propose free clothing for everyone.
And, indeed, there would be more if we get to “feel the bern”. Let me just take a wild guess as to how “BernieSchool” would manifest. I would have to say they’d pass a law saying everyone in the United States was required to have a college education. If you didn’t, you’d have two years to enroll in a college and get a degree by shopping for a school in the “education marketplace” the federal government would set up online. Then you would notice that, jeepers! it isn’t free! No, then you’d see the tuition costs dang near the same as before, except now the government said you have to get that degree—or else. Because if you didn’t feel like getting a degree, they’d ding your tax return to the tune of a grand each year and rising higher every year. Hey, you guys wanted to “feel the bern!” and so you did. Am I right so far, Bernie?
