Jeremy Stoppelman made his surprising dig at city leaders in response to the open letter from Talia Jane, who slammed the company's low wages.
She said she could barely afford groceries on a salary of $733.24 every two weeks, with rent a hefty $1,245 a month.
'Every single one of my coworkers is struggling. They're taking side jobs, they're living at home,' she wrote.
