Obama's close friend, Chicago Mafia banker gets off lightly :
The Giannoulias family, which collected tens of millions in dividends just prior to the collapse of their Broadway Bank in Chicago, appear to have gotten off relatively lightly in a newly released settlement with federal bank regulators over losses at the company. For you rookies out there that think Hillary is going to get indicted: guess again. The Obama regime protects its' own.
Former officers and directors of Broadway Bank, including former CEO Demetris Giannoulias and his brother George Giannoulias, paid $5 million under a Nov. 18 settlement with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. The agreement was posted today to the FDIC's website.
There was no indication of whether any of the defendants, which also included former Chicago Bears quarterback Jim McMahon (a Broadway Bank board member), had to dig into their own pockets for any of the money.
