Ken Stabler earns election to Pro Football Hall of Fame

AL.com reports on Ken Stabler making it to the Hall of Fame :
Until 1981, Stabler was the only quarterback in NFL history who had completed at least two-thirds of his passes in one season. Through 1979, Stabler was the only NFL QB whose career completion percentage was better than 60 percent. Through 1977, Stabler's 19 postseason TD passes were the most in NFL history.

Stabler was the first QB to take his team to five straight conference championship games, a feat that remained unmatched until Tom Brady reached it with the New England Patriots this season.
It's about time.
