Will Chicago Police Corruption Sink Rahm Emanuel ? The Empirical Evidence Rahm Emanuel Has to Contend With.

Many Americans believe in the right to bear arms. In Chicago, the one party town, a large percentage of the population believes only the police should be able to own handguns. What if the police are corrupt? Rahm is now in the spotlight because of the Laquan McDonald execution. Chicago has many hardworking , honest police officers who've had to work next to corrupt colleagues for years. This 2013 University of Illinois-Chicago report has a summary of the problem.
There have been 102 convictions of Chicago police since the beginning of 2000.... Since the year 2000, a total of 47 Chicago law enforcement officers were convicted of drug and gang related crimes ....
You'll want to read this report. When the Chief of Detectives runs a criminal enterprise for the Chicago Mob , you've got problems:
Hanhardt, the highest-ranking former Chicago police official to be convicted of wrongdoing, pleaded guilty in October 2001 to running a sophisticated ring that used stealth and cunning to stalk dozens of jewelry salesmen across the country and steal more than $5 million in diamonds and gems over 20 years.
Just a reminder, the next time progressives talk about gun control. Chicago has more than a police corruption problem.
