Family of Laquan McDonald calls for White House summit on police brutality

The Chicago Tribune reports:
The family of a black teenager fatally shot by a white Chicago police officer called on President Barack Obama Friday to hold a White House summit on police brutality.

"I want it to be a White House summit and I want it to be convened here," Pastor Marvin Hunter, a great-uncle of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald, said at a packed news conference at Grace Memorial Baptist Church.

Addressing the president, Hunter said "I want you to send a representative from White House.

Hunter called for change at the city and national levels, saying that "what we're feeling in Chicago is the real feeling of America itself, and that's injustice against people of color."
Can Obama close his eyes to his "friends " in the Cook County Democrat party.
