Mayor Rahm Emanuel will deliver a special address focused on police accountability to the Chicago City Council on Wednesday.A recent poll says 51% of Chicagoans say Mayor Rahm Emanuel should resign.
The speech — which will focus on justice, culture and community — comes on the heels of the release of two police shooting videos and a third video that showed officers using a stun gun on a man in a holding cell.
Emanuel also will “lay out a path forward for restoring trust in [the Chicago] police department,” according to a statement from the mayor’s office.
