Chicago Corruption Update. Many ties bind Mike Madigan to Midway parking deal .

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

On Friday, a city government panel approved a 1,600-space airport parking facility on property owned by a client of the Madigan & Getzendanner law firm. Besides magically controlling Springfield from his Southwest Side base, Madigan also has time for his private practice, which has made untold millions appealing property tax assessments for many rich real estate owners.

The firm’s clients own skyscrapers, mansions, nursing homes, hotels and shopping centers as well as less flashy holdings, including the Midway Business Center, a sprawling site less than two blocks from the airport. Madigan & Getzendanner have represented the center’s owners in tax appeals before Cook County and state officials, records show.

Now, the Midway Business Center’s owners are ready to turn over part of the property to one of the country’s largest private operators of airport parking.

Boss Madigan, is at the apex of the rent-seeking society , in Illinois, which is leading to its destruction.
