2 dead, 6 wounded in Chicago shootings

The Boston Globe reports:

Two men have been killed and at least six people have been wounded in shootings since mid-afternoon Friday, police said.

A man was found unresponsive on a sidewalk in the 5100 block of South Troy Avenue about 7:10 p.m., police said. He had been shot in the abdomen and leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The man's age was not immediately available.

Another man died after being shot in the head Friday afternoon in Lawndale.
