Flashback 1987. Federal Judge Raises Taxes on Local School District. The Recent Precedent of Getting Rid of the Separation of Powers.

Flashback 1987. The Chicago Tribune reports:
Shock waves from a federal judge`s order last week raising property and income taxes to pay for school desegregation in this city are reverberating among the metropolitan area`s policy makers and 1.8 million residents.

Business leaders are concerned that new and old businesses may be scared away. Suburbanites say they will be paying taxes for two school systems, theirs and Kansas City`s. Irate politicians and homeowners-including inner-city black homeowners-say the judicially imposed taxes are unjust, and they are vowing to fight them with every legal recourse available.
Just a reminder, on what the progressives have in mind for the future of America.
