Ex-Im Bank finally to get House vote. The Slush Fund Bank For Rent-Seeking Moves Closer to Coming Back From The Dead

Crain's Chicago Business reports:
Despite all the chaos over who will succeed John Boehner as speaker of the House, efforts to revive the charger of the U.S. Export-Import Bank took a big step forward today.

Sponsors of a move to force a House vote despite opposition from some conservative Republicans, known as a discharge petition, filed paperwork with the required signatures of at least 218 members.

The petition was filed by Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Channahon, and three other GOP lawmakers.

In a statement he termed it, "a procedure to stand up to Washington's broken system that is killing thousands of American jobs and jeopardizing thousands more. Our constituents expect us to fight for them and get the job done."

Another backer, Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill, released a statement saying signers "sent a clear message that the fate of more than 164,000 American jobs and more than 6,000 small businesses nationwide will not be dictated by a minority of the Congress. We cannot continue to shed jobs overseas due to partisan bickering and Congressional inaction."

The House vote is tentatively set for Oct. 26. The Senate already had approved one measure to renew the charter, which expired earlier this year, but will have to vote again.
How many in Congress are being promised jobs after Congress for this vote?
