Illinois' first family at odds over budget cuts

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
If the state’s dysfunctional government body doesn’t make Illinois a national laughingstock, the Ounce of Prevention Fund’s “Action Alert” being distributed to supporters certainly will.

The advocacy organization, headed by Diana Rauner, is urging supporters to contact Gov. Bruce Rauner and ask him to rescind changes to the Child Care Assistance Program that reduce the number of families eligible for the program.

“The devastating policies that have been set in motion are harming children’s opportunities to attend high-quality early learning in their communities — especially in those communities that need it most,” the alert claims.

“The emergency CCAP policies need to be withdrawn, and new sources of revenue must be proposed to end the budget impasse,” the organization said.

So much for pillow talk.
Imagine that.
