Real estate and entertainment are top industries for office romance, study says

The San Francisco Chronicle reports:
Workers are finding love in an office space, according to a report released Wednesday from Glassdoor.

While the practice is not particularly common — or allowed, in some places — there are signs of workplace romance across age, gender and industry. Nearly two thirds (63 percent) of workers who found love at the office are under 40 years old, according to Glassdoor. Thirty percent are in their 30s, while 31 percent are in their 20s. Only 10 percent are 60 or older. “This correlates with the fact that younger workers are disproportionately single and actively looking to meet others,” Morgan Smart, author of the report and a member of Glassdoor’s data science team, wrote.

Women report finding love slightly more often than men.
